About Urban Purpose

Urban Purpose exists to build relationships with those in need throughout our city, surround them with safe people, and offer healthy options for them to utilize in the journey of rebuilding their lives.

Doors open for us to do some pretty incredible things when we know someone’s name, sit down to share a meal, and hear their story. This is how we can care for and serve people who are desperate to feel loved.

Urban Purpose continually looks for ways to support folks who are trying hard to overcome trauma, addiction and abuse, and get their lives back on track. We’ve grown from handing out food and blankets under the bridge to providing a full range of support for marginalized men, women and children in Birmingham.

Urban Purpose is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your gifts are tax deductible as allowed by law, and are used in the area of highest need.

When you give towards our work in Birmingham, you’re funding a ministry uniquely equipped to respond to real people by building real relationships. We can’t thank you enough for your support. We couldn’t do this work without you!
